Since last Sunday, it is official: I am the new conductor of Muziekvereniging Sint Cecilia Sint Anthonis (Noord-Brabant).
Personally, I think I have found a very solid association, with a strong bestuur and, above all, people with lots of enthusiasm.
It has been kinda special months too, since my first rehearsal in April. Aside from the kennismaking and preparing our first concert, we also participated in the recording of Het Lied van St. Tunnis (something I think we nailed) and the opening of the Brinkkiosk with a flashmob of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
Last Sunday, at that same kiosk, we closed the season with a concert featuring all the groups of the association: recorders, percussion band, the old, the youth and us. A very special and gezellig event, for I want to thank the committee, the conductors, specially Marc Thijssen for all his help and advice, and, of course, the musicians, who make this possible.

PS: Sint Anthonis is also the patron of my hometown. So, was this a thing of destiny?
